                         Fabric finish Menapia strats

The fabric covered guitar is an alternative to the usual painted finish. Basically it's a guitar body covered with fabric and then finished with a high-build lacquer. This method has been tried and tested since the 1980's most famously by Steve Vai on his 77FP. Rumour has it that he actually used the curtains from his mothers' living room to cover his guitar. So if it's good enough for Steve, it's good enough for me!  It's also a more affordable alternative to an airbrush custom finish.  The sky's the limit when it comes to the fabric and the hardware is all up to you too!

This method can be done on any shape guitar.
